The advantage of the well developed regions of the Urals is the diversification of their industrial structure with a higher share of the industries producing export goods and based on their own raw materials resources (ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy in the Chelyabinsk and Sverdlovsk regions, the gas industry in the Orenburg regions, oil production and oil chemistry in the republic of Bashkortostan, oil production and the production of mineral fertilizers in the Perm region). Due to the integration in the world trade, the economic growth rate in the Urals is higher, despite the remoteness of the key sales markets.
