|
City Park Multifunctional Recreational Area is a large-scale project that ideally fits the concept of creating the city attractive for residing and tourism. City-park is distinguished by favorable territorial location: water area of Oka river and Yachenka reservoirs, the neighborhood with a unique nature sanctuary, Kaluga pine forest, foot walk proximity of the historical center of Kaluga, greater landscape opportunities, magnificent landscape outlooks. The concept City Park is “city in city”: following objects will be possessed in the lot of 114 ha, adjoining the reservoir on Yachenka river in the western part of Kaluga at entrance from Moscow:
• Cosmoplois Interactive park of entertainments which will become the core of City Park, including the Russia’s oldest State Museum of Cosmonautics, a center of interactive models, technologies and discoveries, attractions, exhibit alleys, and a virtual cinema. Êîñìîïîëèñ should support the image of Kaluga as a cradle of cosmonautics, to promote education of younger generations along with providing affordable entertainments to the whole family.
• The Retail park includes hypermarkets of food, furniture and domestic goods. Planned accommodation of supermarkets of sports goods, electronics, trade malls, entertainment areas, public catering, auto mall and parking places will allow Reyail park to become the largest center of trade and entertainment in the region.
• The Open-Air Family Entertainment park whose structure will include silent walking and memorial areas, a children's playground, pavilion of arts and crafts, park of sports entertainments and games, and public catering, will have all the necessary for spending rest and leisure time.
• Sport park. The project includes sites for extreme sports types, discotheques and clubs, billiards, bowling and restaurants. This project should satisfy the growing need of youth for active rest.
• The Quay. The existing quay with necessity of additional work on the area of pond border and landscaping will become a walking area, including a restaurant on water, cafés, yachts clubs and a beach. This project will make leisure on water comfortable and safe, by creating an attractive object for tourism and leisure.
• A hotel quarter. The project includes apartments and hotels with accompanying infrastructure (cottages, townhouses, low-rise buildings for middle-term and long-term accommodation if at least 2000 families), a landscape park with fountains and medical center. Considering an industrial development and construction of several large plants on the territory of Kaluga and Kaluga Region, the number of business guests who need high-quality hotel facilities and housing accommodation will increase, and such segment of the City Park as the hotel quarter, will be always in demand.
City Park is an essentially new format which will determine architectonic shape of Kaluga and will increase the quality level of multifunctional projects in Russia.
